My love affair with Sighthounds began in the fall of 1996, when I adopted my first NGA greyhound, Isis. Isis introduced me to many new friends, and also a great sport, lure coursing. While Isis enjoyed lure coursing, she was not very competitive, and it wasn't long before I was thinking of getting a second greyhound. A good friend who had ties to the greyhound racing industry found the perfect candidate, and soon Sunset Molly was added to my household. Molly was too slow for racing, but she became and expert lure courser, and my first ASFA Field Champion, with a Regional Invitational Best in Field along the way.
While lure coursing in Idaho, I met and fell in love with a beautiful borzoi, Latte` (Ch. Oaklara's Caffe` Latte`, SC). When I couldn't convince her owner to let me have her, I asked to be put on a waiting list for a future puppy. My first borzoi, River, was born in May 2000.
